February – Charity Car Treasure Hunt
To start the year we opened the doors to non members in order to take part in a Car Treasure Hunt. 10 teams were given clues to find locations and on arrival had to undertake tasks in order to gain points. Tasks included fiding artifacts and singing. Yes Singing!!. They were directed to numerous motoring based venues such as Silverstone, Caffeine and Machine, The Super Sausage etc as well as non motoring based venues such as Towcester Race Course and a Model Village in Bourton on The Water..
It was a long day and the debrief was held over dinner and drinks at a lovely cosy Hotel in the Cotswolds where the teams were presented with their trophies and the Winner announced. Most of the particioants stayed the night and we were serenaded by one of the group who happened to bring along his guitar (Thanks Mick McAdam).
It was a very successful event and raised £700 for our chosen charity Prostate Cancer UK. We may look to do another one next year.. Will see. We do also hope that those who enjoyed the day may think about joining the club..

May – 2024 Spa Classic
This year we had 7 cars attending this popular event. Starting off at our favourite Hotel near Folkstone – The Marquis before heading over on the train into France and then into Belgium. This year we stayed in a lovely privately owned hotel in the Ardennes where we were well looked after. We then headed to Spa via some really great driving roads in Luxemburg where, despite the torrential rain, we had some good progressive drives. Having settled in the hotel in Verviers we met up with many other drivers who were there for the weekend racing. Off to the track on Saturday morning where we had the privilege of parking in the centre of the circuit both days and watched some amazing classic car racing action. Sunday saw us all on track for the “Parade laps” which is simply amazing at, arguably, the best race track in the world and something none of us ever forget. A great Sunday evening together then off on Monday back to blighty. Great to see a couple of new members join us this time too. Some pictures are on the link below

September – 2024 Isle of Man (A Quick “Leg Up”)
We had a limited number of spaces for the Isle of Man trip. 7 cars went in total – Cost per car was £600 which included the return Ferry Crossing from Heysham and 3 nights in the “Sefton Hotel” in Douglas. Some took advantage of a “Transit Day” stay in the impressive “Falcon Manor Hotel” in “Settle” in the Yorkshire Dales
Two full days exploring the Island was enough and there was plenty to see and some nice roads to experience.
We had the opportunity to line up on the TT Start / Finish line for a photo shoot before driving the track route. It is impossible to image how skilful the riders are in this amazing annual event. Some pics via More Info below.
April – Litchfield Cotswold Shake Down
To start the year we dusted off the cars and headed off to the Cotswolds for a “Spring Shake Down” and to stop off at the Performance specialist “Litchfield Motors” – They will speak to members about what performance and efficiency enhancements are available for their cars. We had luch in “The Swan” pub where, as one of our members looked over 60 (Phil) we got a huge discount 😉
We stopped overnight in Tewkesbury where we had a great curry in the “Mezbaan” https://mezbaan.uk and in the morning ran back through some of the best roads in the Cotswolds ending back at the “Clubhouse” for a debrief later on Friday afternoon. It proved to be a great shakedown prior to the Spa trip the following month.

The theme of course is “Cheese and Wine” – We visited some of the well-known wine regions, experience tastings and good hospitality along the way but most importantly great company. The journey included Champagne, Alsace, Burgundy, Rhone Valley, Bordeaux and Loire Valley.

First of two short trips this year – Yorkshire Dales and Moors.
3 Days (Plus a transit day of course!)

The second was a 2 night stay in the New Forest with a trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum.

The second in September where we hired a race circuit exclusively for our members in Northern France. We coupled this with a D-Day theme and the 4 day trip took us to some historic sites and of course the fabulous “Croix En Ternois” racing circuit.
In 2017 we took off to the “Eagles Nest” as part of our “Fast and Fuhrerious” Austrian Tour which actually took us through 6 countries. Apart from stopping in Berchtesgarten to visit the Eagles Nest, we took on the fabulous Grossglockner and Timelsjoch passes. Staying in some great hotels in stunning locations.
Through …Berchtesgadener Land
